Ok… First rule of blogging has to be you should not eat where you blog especially if you have two hungry westies underfoot trying to gobble each popcorn kernel that drops to the floor. The popcorn that fell under the desk drove them to distraction. As I tried to think of a deep insight to start my first blog (and upcoming new year) I looked down to see doggy derrieres wiggling in the air as excited noses and mouths searched for food like republicans and democrats in Iowa seaching for caucus votes. Anyway I could tell I would not get anything done until I swept under the desk so now the dogs are somewhat happy and I found an intro. Not bad for the price of a bag of microwave popcorn.Today, I met my mom and aunt at the cemetery to put new flowers on my grandparents grave. I have this thing that I cannot stand to leave the christmas poinsettias on the grave for too long after Christmas. Obviously not everyone think that way because there will be plenty of poinsettias in June, but it does bother me. My family thinks it is silly but really if you cannot get back to the cemetery right after Christmas just put something less seasonal but still wintery. Poinsettias in March look ridiculous, even when they are not faded.It was cold so we sat in my aunt’s car and talked for two hours or so. We watched the geese on the pond and the egret that appeared to chase away the geese. This one egret appeared to intimidate the geese into walking away from the pond. It was actually pretty interesting because the 20 geese or so were so much a pack. It was group think at its finest. So, I guess the geese had each other and that was great but in the end the egret got the pond to himself. I am not sure who was better off. Back to family time. I know, Whoopee!!! Sitting in a car talking for two hours about nothing in particular. It was actually enjoyable though, and for my family it was really nice. It was very relaxed and there was almost no one at the cemetery. Maybe we can go back for the next holiday.

That is a very good rule. That is my number 1 rule too. You see I have three Chihuahuas and I close the door on them when I am on the computer. They always want up, or down on the bed, or they are playing so loudly that I can’t think. Then my male gets down from the bed by himself and then he cries for me to pick him up. I know exactly what you mean.
